Bad Sleep ... Unhappy Life

Our Lives Can Be Affected By Sleep Disorders

The Quality of Our Lives Can be Negatively Affected by Drowsiness and Fatigue

Most people who have a difficult time getting a good night’s sleep would probably agree that fatigue affects our daily lives in almost every way possible.

You are having trouble concentrating on the job at hand when you are at work, and to make matters worse, your mate or partner tell you that loud snoring and restlessness has kept them from sleeping.  So, as your general health issues get worse, your daily energy seems to follow suit, while your work and family activities suffer.

Personal discomfort, alarm and concern all seem to be magnified due to this ever downward spiral of circumstances!  However, with our help this sleeplessness and fatigue can many times be reversed or at least stopped and managed.

Restful Sleep – Are You Getting Enough?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) estimates only about one third of the adults in America get enough sleep.  In order to maintain the utmost in health and well-being, this CDCP’s own guideline is that people need at least seven restful hours of sleep each day.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and the chronic snoring that usually goes with it are serious sleep disorder issues, yet they are often under-diagnosed or misdiagnosed.

Undiagnosed and untreated sleep issues many times contribute directly to the very serious concerns of “drowsy driving” and accidents in the work place!  In fact, the end result of sleep loss can be life-threatening issues such as heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and diabetes.

We are committed at our practice to greatly enhancing the quality of life of our dental patients by improving their sleep habits and overall health, as well as oral health.
